Sales Manager – Telecoms / Maritime

Salary: 55-75,000 Euros Annual

Location: remote Spain,

Regions where main ports are – Mediterranean.

My client is an international maritime telecommunications company that’s expanding into Europe and is looking for a Sales Manager with experience in the maritime sector (essential) to develop and grow their business. Your territory would be Southern Europe – The Mediterranean. You’ll be working remotely on your own in the territory.

The company was founded by a team of highly experienced professionals in the maritime sector who saw an opportunity in the market to make to make maritime satellite communication easier, more available and more affordable. Their plan is to become one of the world’s most reliable, flexible and cost-effective maritime communication solutions with great customer support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage sales and find new clients in the maritime sector e.g. ship owners
  • Develop relationships with distributors- existing and find new ones.
  • Build and sustain relationships
  • Generate your own leads by cold calling, researching, and networking
  • Attend meetings and present the company’s products and services.
  • Prepare offers and specifications based on customer needs
  • Conduct negotiations and close/renew contracts for new and existing customers
  • Be the main contact point for your clients issues with help from the accounts team
  • Report to management on customer needs, competitors, and suggest new products and services.

What you’ll bring

  • Your energy, proactivity, and creativity combined with outstanding sales & networking skills
  • Self-motivation to work autonomously
  • Sales experience (3-5+ years) and a network of contacts in the maritime sector (essential)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in preferably in Business, Marketing
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, social and outgoing
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Very good English, Spanish.
  • International network and cross-cultural understanding is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel around coastal areas in the Mediterranean region
