Do you have experience leading campaigns in, for example, Energy, Oil & Gas, Agriculture, local politics; or  advocating for local groups; or working in communications?

Then this role could be for you. We offer you the unique opportunity to help build a new institution that has a worldwide impact and in which you can leave a lasting legacy.

Senior Campaign Manager (m/f/d) – Comms/Energy/PR/Media/Politics Full-time / Location: Remote in Germany

My client is a German non-profit, part of a growing global network, and their mission is to build alternative long-term solutions to climate change by bringing civic association leaders and local organisations together around common challenges. They encourage civic participation of everyone, in particular people with more traditional, conservative values who feel a deep attachment to place, to their traditions, to nature, to their family and local area.

They believe that working to understand deeply the needs of grassroots groups is a vital element for building stable and successful solutions to conserve the natural inheritance given to us. These groups, although not an exclusive list, could be any of the following – farmers, church groups, rural women’s institutes, ex-mining communities et al.  Their mission is to reach a political consensus and empower everyone across society to work together to create healthier spaces where we live. By building a common good and creating a consensus across the political spectrum you can counteract the polarisation and identity politics that affect this area. Additionally, they work in energy security and organise seminars in this area.

As an independent NGO, they are committed to the democratic values of their constitution and to tolerance. They have long term funding in place to cover their future growth.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Campaign Manager to lead campaigns, build strategic partnerships, act as a community organiser, and co-develop innovative projects. Working closely with the management team, you will have the opportunity to shape a nationwide program in Germany and collaborate with diverse partners to create and implement creative strategies and exciting projects. The aim is to broadly embed environmental protection in society and reduce polarisation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop target audience-oriented program strategies and lead on projects.
  • Coordinate and manage the German project team of 4.
  • Advance the long-term program portfolio.
  • Identify, contact, and build relationships and partnerships
  • Coordinate partner organisations and external service providers (e.g., marketing agencies).
  • Collaborate with the international team.
  • Identify and establish communication channels and develop a campaign strategy to reach target audiences (“Community Organising”).
  • Measure and evaluate programs.
  • Develop new ideas and opportunities for additional studies and surveys.
  • Lead the process for new studies

What we’d like you from you:

  • Experience in creating campaigns for a civic association, business, or in a political setting.
  • A deep understanding of political and social contexts.
  • Deep empathy and understanding for civic and conservative target groups.
  • Experience in conceptualising, organising, implementing, and evaluating campaigns, projects, and events.
  • Creative and innovative ideas.
  • Experience in coordinating various partners, such as associations, media, influencers, decision-makers, creative and marketing agencies, and community organising.
  • Experience creating high-quality content for both traditional and digital communication channels.
  • Ability to structure and formulate complex new issues appropriately for different purposes, target groups, and partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and open to engaging with people with an outgoing and communicative personality.
  • Able to take initiative and make decisions within your area of responsibility.
  • Agree with the mission and values.
  • Fluent in both German and English, both spoken and written.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Remote work
