Europe Solutions, an international recruitment and business support company, has entered into partnerships with recruitment companies in the Baltic States in order to gain access to a larger talent pool and react to changing migration patterns.
Europe Solutions has seen a steady rise in enquires and placements over the last 3 months in line with the REC’s (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) June survey detailing a rise in temporary job placements and confidence among private sector companies in the UK. Unemployment levels in the Baltic States’ countries range from 15% to 20% but GDP growth rates were high in the post EU accession years. Many international companies entered these markets and up skilled the work force; the result being a talent pool of English speaking skilled workers available at present.
Marc van Ling, director of Europe Solutions, states: ‘The number of skilled workers coming into the UK from the Baltic States is growing whilst the number of Polish workers is falling. Whilst most of our placements are workers from Poland we’ve reacted to this changing trend by developing strong relationships with partners in Lithuania and Latvia. We have recruited highly skilled workers from these countries recently for our clients in the manufacturing and the automotive service sectors. Many clients use this staffing solution as an ‘injection of labour’ to copy with spikes in demand or ‘one-off’ contract wins where recruiting the right skills quickly is paramount.’
